Parents:
You have...
2 Questions about Wisdom Teeth:
WHY?
WHEN?
The Parents Guide to Wisdom
Teeth will show you:
Why remove wisdom teeth?
but even more importantly...
WHEN is the BEST time
to do so?
The answers will surprise you!
NEW!!!
There is now an
even more important reason
for removing the wisdom teeth and when it's best to do so:
Did you catch it when the website first opened?
More on this later.
Why is this website directed primarily to
parents of teens?
This website was created to introduce you to a book titled
The Parents Guide to Wisdom Teeth. It was written by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon
for parents of teens because you don't realize how much easier and less
complicated the whole wisdom tooth "experience" can be for your teen now rather than later.
It will also inform you about a new area of medicine that will become
extremely to our kids within their lifetime. What's most important about this is that decisions you make
today for your kids could have a profound effect on their medical future.
After reviewing this website, you will begin to
understand
why the teen years are such an important time to deal with their wisdom teeth.
The book was designed to teach you this:
There is a relatively brief period of time in our lives
when the removal of the wisdom teeth is usually easiest and least risky,
making it the "ideal" time to have it done.
So what?
If you miss this opportunity,
with increasing age comes greater difficulty in removal
along with increased surgical risks causing a longer, more uncomfortable
recovery. Once the teeth start to come through the gum, your child may also experience swelling and pain
usually caused by infection of the gum.
All of these factors, resulting from delaying treatment, can change a relatively smooth and uncomplicated
experience into one that is more difficult and costly
in time and money.
There are two things you must do
to take full advantage of this special time period:
ONE
Get the timing right because it doesn't occur at the same age in all of us.
TWO
Someone must take responsibility for "getting the ball rolling" soon enough to not miss
this opportunity.
There is no one more motivated to do this than YOU.
Would you, as a parent,
like to learn how to make the wisdom tooth experience for your teen
the easiest it may ever be for them?
The Parents Guide to Wisdom Teeth will clearly demonstrate to you why you
want to start early and how to discover the correct timing for your child.

The book is written in easy-to-understand language for you, the non-dental professional,
and is illustrated with x-rays of actual cases that demonstrate the many problems and risks that
wisdom teeth can cause. Even if you have never seen one before, the important points of each x-ray will be
made obvious, understandable and interesting.
Each topic is formatted in two ways:
the first paragraph summarizes the most important information;
the second gives greater detail for those want to learn more.
So, if you wish, you can just read the summary paragraphs and study the illustrations to get the
important facts that you need quickly.

Problems that wisdom teeth can cause you

Two Key Factors
You will learn the two key factors (actually, now three!) that can be
used to best time the removal of the wisdom teeth. By doing so, you can reduce (maybe even eliminate) the
problems that wisdom teeth can cause and reduce the surgical risks involved in removing them.
BOTTOM LINE
Once you, the parent (or young adult),
are familiar with these three key factors, you will know to get an
evaluation by your oral surgeon in time to take advantage of them. By doing so you can
make it an easier, less complicated experience than it can become later in life.
In addition, the whole process will be much less
anxious for you because you WILL understand much more about what is going on.
As a parent, you will also have much more control
over your child's "fate" because YOU will now be able to control when your child gets the attention he/she
needs. How you do this will be explained.
Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to wisdom
teeth.
What is the new THIRD Key
Factor?
This is exciting news!

The information in this book could make a big difference for your teenager,
compared to what their experience could change to later in life.
You just need to learn WHEN is the RIGHT TIME,
then not let that time pass you by.
P.S. This book is in electronic format. While you can print it out for your convenience, the x-rays
are best viewed on your computer monitor.

We would like to hear how you liked the book:
-
Did you find your child's experience to
be easier/less complicated than others who had their wisdom teeth out later in
life?
-
Did you feel you
were better prepared for your visit with the oral surgeon?
(had a much better understanding of issues regarding risks, benefits of treatment, and had a
better grasp of the technical issues regarding the surgery, anesthetic choices, etc. than if you hadn't
read the book)
